Echos are pukeass fugly. Geeze, I get just thinking about them.. Who the hell is in charge of styling at Toyota these days. Last half decent looking car was the Solara.
Only compacts I would consider lately are the Dodge SX 2.0, Protege, Lancer, and Sentra.
I still don't trust Hyundai- all I see there is 100,000km warranty and about 40,000km of it being in a rental car...
Kia - ok looking cars but still a little new to market for me I guess.
Won't go there about GM..
Focus is all right but I'm not 20 anymore.
Civic - yeah along with ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL the rest.

this is one time I'll disagree with dukk, I had a Hyundai, and other then a wiper motor(which I replaced myself in 2 minuites) it was flawless and for 96 HP it sure would light them up.. cheap tires might have helped in that area though?
49 mpg too.
but anything nessin rules! I had one and its my dads now 279,000 kms on a 4 banger and runs perfect!

^ see now that could entirely be. I remember when Hyundai hit Canada and they had some rough times mechanically at first...
Then when I moved to Abby 10 years ago we were friends with the local Hyndai dealer's brother and his Elantra was always in the shop. I mean ALWAYS.
BUT nothing saying they aren't great cars now - and the Tiburon finally looks great and is a real bargain if it holds up over time!
