our car audio in general seems to be priced higher then the U.S, even with the difference in the doller.
prime example, almost every manufacture I know of deals in US dollers, so you buy it in US bucks(and lose money in exchange rate) then convert it to canadian and pay GST(once again throwing away more money) ect on it, then turn around and sell it.
just my impression on the matter, theres lots of guys here that know the game

1.heres some things to take into consideration. If you can buy it in canada yes then with the exchange you should be able to sell it at a better rate, but canadians don't work for cheap, and that is in the cost of the audio manufactures cost.
2. if you are ordering it from the US or worse yet Europe you have to deal with coustoms and there fees, + taxes-which are put on before it even reaches you+ then you have to pay to ship it back to the U.S. If people live in the U.S and buy in the U.S they pay none of these taxes and shipping is way cheaper.
this is my best guess as to what you need, let me know what I'm missing and I'll let you know anything I can.

i thought that if you purchased some thing from the states, and sold it back to some on in the sates you could apply to the goverenment to get the money back you sepnt on taxes
i heard that from a person that used to ship alot of goods all over the world, i`l look in to it and give a heads up.
so if all products are purchased form canadian distributors you should be able to sell at a competitive price ?
also i am not looking to sell audio equipment
