Yeah the next gen consoles are looking to be amazing. However there are so many specs being thrown around for all the systems that it's hard to tell which will be accurate. Ya know one thing for sure. With how much more powerful the Xbox is than the PS2. I wonder how much if any Micorsoft will try and outdo the PS2? Looking at how amazing the PS3 looks to be, the Xbox could be unbelievable. However it is almost 100% confirmed that the Xbox 2 will not include a harddrive.

its all about the games, thats why game cube sucks, they lost capcom at the start and no role playing to boot.

good games=good system

That's exactly it! A system an only be as good as it's games. I like the PS1 and Genesis better than the new consoles because of games like castlevania SoTN, FF7, NHL 94. I don't care about graphics if the games suck. It's all about fun.

yikes. How many consoles they gonna make lol What sucks the most is when you wanna play a game that comes on the market as they keep up to date they stop making the games for the older systems and either you suffer and do without or you crack down n buy the system and the game. Which can be costly

I'm bettin on the Xbox 2 being better than the PS3. I'm pretty sure they'll wait till the PS3 is on the market to finalize on the specs for the Xbox 2, just so they can blow sony away

Isn't XBOX better than the PS2 therefore it would be a shoe in for XBOX2 to be better than PS3? lol I can't stand the controllers for XBOX to big. Not meant for people with small hands thats for sure, and how does that go for being for all types of people? I like Sony's style for making controllers.

However the Xbox came out a year later than the PS2. So Microsoft had plenty of time to spiff up their system! When the next gen consoles come out, I am willing to bet that they'll all be released closer to the same time than before. And the first gen Xbox controllers were far too big and clunky. But the new S type controllers that now come bundled with the Xbox's and that are for sale are far better and very comfortable IMO.

And thats one of the main reasons I don't like the consoles that come with the huge controllers especially N64 man thats a challenge to play if your new to it lol. The controllers are to big or have to much to them. The thing I love about playstations is their controllers are straight to the point also the graphics on screen may be tiny but they're very very detailed. Though I haven't seen an XBOX in awhile or a game so Im not sure on that one I wont go there since I do not know, but thats my opinion on why Sony does a good job with their consoles.

The Controller S is still pretty bulky, but Mad Katz makes a very small controller, made for kids, but it's niecly laid out, and works really well. the Xbox is MUCH better than PS2, and I'm sure that Microsoft (side note, bill gates' company was named by his wife... on their wedding night) will ensure that their technical dominance is total with their next console. That said, if sony's using a 3 Ghz processor, microsoft may wait till a 4.5 or 5 Ghz processor comes out, and will undoubtedly wait intil the new ATI chip is available for market.
