Power Inverter Question....
Power Inverter Question....
Im putting a microwave in our work truck for the season so we can heat our lunches and try to save some money, and I picked up a 1000watt microwave for $10 at a thrift store now Im going to need a mammajamma inverter that pumps out 1000watts correct?? Guy at work is trying to tell me his little plug into the lighter socket 75watt that runs his computer will work for the microwave too.
Yes it should be at least a 1000w continuous, not peak and for the money get one a littlle larger if u could, i dont know if there is any surge current involved in a microwave but u may have to consider that as well so possibly 1200w inverter or u may have to use microwave on lower power setting.

CanTire has a 1200W unit for 170, a 1750W unit for $255.
