lol yea i missed your post.... i wont lie i spend about as much money as i can afford to on my car lol. But its diffrent because i use my car and listen to music every day. But when it comes to gaming i just dont have the time, for example my xbox rarely gets used... once a week maybe if that so it doesnt justify spending that kind of money cuz im not rich, and id rather spend it on my car

but yea if i were to spend that kind of money i think i would get a gaming PC cuz then i can do all sorts of other stuff on it, plus im not paying 60 bucks for a game, on the net i can get almost anything for free or get trials and then i know if ill enjoy the game, in the long run i think a gaming pc would be a better investment than a Xbox 360 or PS3 or Wii.

thats my opinion

I think the ps3 is going to sell alot of consoles, maybe not their target for this year tho. The ps3 easily beats the out of the 360 and nintendo has always had shitty graphics and games that my 6 yr old brother would think were designed by ****.

Well, I noticed futureshop.ca got 1000 ps3s in yesterday. I was watching the quantities go down like 20 every time I refreshed. They sold all 1000 within a couple hours.

Both consoles are actually pretty evenly matched in terms of power. That's what most developers are saying is so sad about the PS3. The fact that SONY launched a whole year after the 360 and there are very few things that the PS3 can actually do better. Now the Wii is weak period. No question there.

PS3 vs Xbox 360 - a developer speaks from Guardian Unlimited: Gamesblog

In essence the two systems are actually fairly closely matched in terms of graphics. The jump to HD is a major step up in visual quality and that is delivered by both systems. The difference between 720p and 1080i will be fairly academic for some time as there are very few mass market TVs out there at the moment that support native 1080 resolution, and I'm not sure the average consumer sees the difference between them anyway. At Blitz our cross platform technology enables us to develop simultaneously for both systems and spend our time playing to the strengths of each. Of course developers have had longer to get to grips with the X360 but you can be sure we won't see the full potential of the either system and especially the PS3 for some time yet.
The X360 GPU is slightly more flexible due to the subtle differences between the respective architectures of the nVidia and ATI chipset. Certain shader restrictions are lifted or easier to work around on X360. The bandwidth of the X360 GPU is pretty massive too, though partly this is balanced out by the differences in VRAM layout of the two systems that means the Xbox needs to move graphics data around the system more than the PS3 does. While the GPUs are fast and have a big impact on the visual quality and level of game effects, other factors such as general processing power and memory architecture also come into play.
Certain procedural effects are easier to create on the PS3 because of the power of the SPEs. Effects like water simulations, especially when you move beyond simple surface effects to fluid dynamics require the kind of algorithms that are really suited to the CELL architecture. Having said that the slightly more flexible GPU and unified memory model on X360 allows some neat tricks that level the playing field somewhat. It will be interesting to see what emerges with video processing and EyeToy as well - CELL is designed for streaming and image processing applications in mind. I think we'll see both new visuals and game play out of that.
While many people will try and say the PS3 has the edge because it's newer. They're really just hyping up the PS3. So don't believe everything you hear, unless there is a good source behind it!

Having said all that, I think the PS3's biggest downfall is the fact that both consoles are so close in power and yet the PS3 costs 200 dollars more for a premium model. I say "Boo" to that. I don't want to pay 200 dollars more so I can have another SONY video format shoved down my throat!

I have all three consoles. The xbox is roughly the same price after you add hd-dvd.
