Use newsgroups.
Get Xnews...it's free, find out your local servers path to the newsgroups, and go to alt.binaries.sounds.mp3."whatever".

Downside" can't always get the cd's you want right away. Can always post a rewuest, and in a few days, you'll have what you want.

Upside" the only things on the newsgroups are files people take the time and effort to rip and post....no junk/garbage that are stolen across the universe, and ultimately end up in your search rsults.
Also the speed is incredible...I usually DL a complete cd, including the covers and lablels, and have them burned and printed in less than 15 minutes!
Best kept secret on the net IMO.

And majority of the time at least the way I search its always full albums.

Um technically u can't prove that he could be 'borrowing' it. Downloading it for the purpose of hearing it to see if u like it then going out to purchase the album.

any suggestions in good sites to download/"share" music? i'm looking for user friendly ones that have a good selection of music....need to get a few songs, but don't want the cd's..you know how it goes.

thanks guys.
Yeah, other than the fact that he says he doesn't want to buy the CD's.

Funny, if stealing audio equipment is brought up on here a lynching gets planned, but if theft of audio signal is brought up everyone helps out on technique.

^^^ LOL! You are correct on that. It really isn't right getting music free either. However, at least when you buy audio equipment you buy it and are typically satisfied with your purchase. Unlike buying a whole crap album for one song. It'd be kind of like buying a subwoofer because it has a high quality cone, but the rest of the woofer is crappy. LOL!

Sharing audio equipment is considered a good deed from a nice person.
Stealing equipment is illegal. Downloading music is not.

^^So very true!

Stealing would be going out and taking the masters from the record compaines.

What we are doing is just sharing the music. File sharing is just the new and improved way of getting music out there. If I was a new artist I would personally put my music up for grabs.

Go to www.laundryroom.net. They have their only two albums availivble for high quality download.

I have purchased multiple cds from artists I would have never listened to thanks to being able to download the album first.

Seeing as how the radio and MM/MTV only play what is cool and popular I have no other way of being exposed to great music.

AS for 'stealing audio songs' the name of this thread is FILE SHARING.

Hardwrkr - Very well said.
