dwvw just used up a "get out of hell free pass". just because he's rich doesnt mean that he is obligated to do anyhting to help the research that goes on regarding spinal cord injury. he could have not used his fame and fortune to help at all and all the money and awarness he raised would never have gotten to the researchers. all the $$$ he helped raise didnt do him one lick of good, but will hopefully help spinal cord victims in the future. many people in his situation would have became shut ins, but he led a very public life and tried to help other victims. now those who read my posts here know that i dont blow sunshine up anyones a$$, but you may be a little harsh here dwvw, but you are entitled to you opinion, i dont have to like but i guess thats my problem

Well, I just have to say that it is sad that anyone has to die. To me though he was not a hero, my two Grandfathers who fought for our freedom in WWII were heroes to me. You can see some of the reasons why I don't think Christopher Reeves is a hero here, http://maddox.xmission.com/c.cgi?u=creeve . Now don't get me wrong, I don't think he was an a-hole. But what he did was self serving. As for going to hell, in the the words of Jerry Lee, If I'm going to hell, I'm going there playing the piano!

Ohh, the guy did so much for spinal cord research, well duh, he was rich and had a spinal cord injury. Before he fell off his horse he didn't donate a cent to spinal cord research. He was a marginal actor at best, the only movie I liked of his was Village of the Damned.

Yes I donate to the diabetes foundation and yes only because it runs in my family and my wifes family. Selfish, hell ya!!

hero's come in all shapes and sizes, war veterens and victims are hero's, and those you help those before helpign themselves. but sometimes it takes a tragedy for someone to realize their true path in life, for some its war for others terrorism and other a physical tragedy, like chistopher reeves, they are all hero's in their own right and their own way
