So the other day my landlords put down cardboard on my section of drive way..Thought it a bit odd,but hey,what ever turns there cranks.

Last night Rob and I got invited over to Gary Zoofa's new shop and I got to pull my car in to do some tinkering.We decided to run to my place real quick and then go get some cold drinks.When Rob pulled in the driveway,I made a quick joke about the cardboard and Gary says"Yeah actually you have a really bad oil leak!"I laughed.But he was serious.Got back to his shop and found about a 4 inch round oil slick on the garage floor.So I took a peak under, and sure enough,dripin' pretty good from about 1/2 inch away from the drain plug.I won't repeat some of my words.

So today was run here,get this,run there,get that then back to Gary's shop(Thanks soooo much Gary [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/beer.gif[/img] )and spent about 7 hours swapping oil pans.

When I went to drain the oil I saw this little "thing"(it went missing,don't know what it was)hanging from where it was dripping.I touched it with my fingertip,it fell off and the oil started to run..not fast,but enough that if it had fallen off while I was on the highway,I would have easily cooked the motor.

So total for parts and supplies:
Pan:$10
Gasket:$35
Engine degreaser and Brake clean:$6
Starter:$60(needed to be done and had to remove old one to drop pan anyway)
2 pizza's and cold drinks:$30
Oil and Filter:$12

Grand Total:$153 aprox.

I'm not a hugely religous man,but right now I am sooo thanking God for having everything fall into place so cleanly.The shop,the fact I work at an auto parts store,the fact that I can do all my own work...and above all..Thanks to God for not letting my motor puke!!

Wasn't a fun day really,but it could have been a heap load worse...

 

is that all u can possibly think when your landlord does something like that??

its good that you believe in God, but i think u need to begin by comprehending some simpler terms like COMMON SENSE.

 

I understand what your saying, but bare this in mind...

These are the same people that had a fit on me for throwing a receipt in the outdoor garbage can without putting it in a garbage bag first...

They are also the people that got on my case for having 2 friends over after 11 pm...


I've had a bit of an oil leak all along,but then suddenly they start putting down cardboard...after some of the things I've seen, with them there is no reall common sense...just my thoughts

I dunno.. the first thing i'd think if someone put down cardboard where i park my car is that i have a leak.. but generally i'd be the first to notice.. [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]

 

gary zoofa? the kicker blazer? that same gary? red blazer, big wall? is there any way to get a hold of him? if it is the same gary? can some one tell him to get a hold of me.

Like I say,I've had a bit of an oil leak all along..Leaves a bit a mark on the driveway, then every once ina while,I go out and clean up...I just put it off on them being over paranoid over nothing as per usual.....

The one thing that makes you think there is a God is the fact of fluke circumstances that led to a motor not being blown...is that it?
Motors can be replaced, that's not a miracle... man... Aaron... I don't even know what to say.

 

Nah Dude....I've always known there is a God...I wouldn't be alive today if there wasn't...And I thank God for that everyday....

Everything came together for a reason...And in this case I don't really think it was a fluke...

But thats just my thoughts on it.....
