The common sense is to not blast your system and advertise to every crook in the area that you're a moron and don't really like having all that cool sound gear to yourself. and don't put all those stupid "steal me" stickers on your windshield, you know the ones, the ones that advertise exactly what gear you have, so that the lowlives can window shop for what they want

Not that I wand to be adding to this post much longer BUT !
The common sence which in this case can just be replaced by having brains is to be able to use , enjoy your equipment NEARLY wherever you are ,even If that means being able to play loud in your neighbourhood with little worry . If you have to grab a cab, bus or hitch friends rides when you are going to a club ,etc and your ride might be sitting in window shoppers galore so be it .
This controlled environment I am talking about can only be achieved when one lives in a house and possibly in a decent condo with ok security and the great thing is your stereo doesn't become a worry or high maintance object to you but rather something you can enjoy after having bothered with it for years and put all this damn paper into .
