tickets
Well, I went to pay off my tickets today and wanted to get them dropped. The lady I spoke to ended up being from my home town in Nova Scotia and new my family. Little did I know, I didnt have to speak with a JP, she was able to drop some on the spot, so I got away with only paying a few. They totalled $857.50 which dropped 4 tickets off.....yay....I get my licence bac Wed......

If it makes you feel any better i got a $150 ticket for my jeep being parked on a sidewalk.
There was some blizzard action in edmonton on Wednesday, or well close to it the other day, was -30ish, and my fuel pump died on the way to work, as i was about to make a right hand turn. Knowing it might be die'n i pulled up onto the sidewalk to try and get out of the way for oncoming traffic and a bit to protect my vehicle as it was super icey out. I think i was on the sidewalk anyways, everything was covered in snow. All i could do was leave it there with my hazzards on.
Got it towed not that day but the next cause i was unable to deal with it till that afternoon, and they wouldn't tow it till th enext day. We went there that night and pushed it down the road a ways and then into a parking lot (through which i obtained frostbite doh).
Finally towed to the shop and then i paid for it
The next day it was towed to the shop. So friday, i pay for it at the shop and they inform me of the ticket for $150 they found on the the winshield when it thawed out.
Mechanic says fight it all the way, as you couldn't get a tow within a reasonable amount of time if you wanted that day - so now i gotta whip down to canada place at some point n try n dispute this trash.
Can't blame the city i suppose, maybe the battery on my jeep had died and the hazzards had went out....and they thought i was just parking there or something? They best not give me a hard time when i explain my troubles and fight it though.

well, considering a cab was estimated at over an hour n a half at shortly before 7am in the city, a tow truck woulda been a lot longer i'm sure as it was rediculously cold htat day n snowing, so i'm sure people were crashing n vehicles weren't starting.
I dunno exactly.
