See... you're missing the point of my argument entirely.
I don't HAVE a problem with people selling on-line. In fact, I'm all for it. Competition amongst retailers (of all types) is good for customers.
I'm against the hypocrisy of the people on this board who think it's ok to buy computer products on-line but tear people a new one any time they mention purchasing audio equipment on-line.

jordy lets see how you would look at it if you were a retailer for many years
then see what happens with retail on the internet
lets see your a internet retailer that also holds a job
think you can run your internet store on its own
and live in its procedes?

I hardly see a deficit of decent computer shops, but there is a total lack of quality car audio places anymore.

Jordy, I can see your point very clearly.
Online sales is not going to die down anytime soon. But controling what is sold online and where it comes from should be.
Why does some of this product come without warrenty? Cus its bought in the states and brought to Canada to sell at a higer margin.
There are a couple sites like that in the mountain bike industry. They can offer bike parts to Canadians at 30-50% lower than you can get at your local bike shop as the parts are bought in the states and sold in Canada. Canada is so full of distributers that want a piece of the pie, the consumer really gets the shaft.
But all in all, I do find it kinda ironic that a thread like this pops up and there is no real "heat" on it. But posting an online car audio thread is like someone kicked you in the nutz. Dunno.
Giver Jordy.
