That would be bad-*** wouldn't it! It would also be fawking expensive.
Without actually searching the Internet, I'd have to say that no product like that is available. But I could be wrong.

I'm sure you're thinking about the "Transitions" glasses. I'm not sure if it's the actual glass the lens is made out of that reacts to the light, or if there is a film applied to the lens that does it. Maybe someone else may know.

My tint is 17%. Its a little darker than the average I see, but at night it can be a real bitch. Although when cars are behind me their lights aren't as blinding in the rear-view mirror.

Yah I would be doing quite a bit of night driving so that is why I was wondering about that. I have the perscription glasses that do this and was wondering why their isnt anything like it in the auto after market products. My friend did tints on his own car and they were very dark and especially at night I wasnt comfortable with the intensity of the tint. I want to tint but because of the limited visibility at night I wont be going too dark. Also where can I find different color tints. I am really into need for speed games and was just wondering if any of those tints actually exist.

Colour tints are readily available. I think they have a tendency to look a little gaudy.
You should be able to find them at most performace/auto detailing shop. There's a shop here is Brantford, called "Everything Automotive". That's where everyone goes here in town. They do good work.

If I was ever going to tint with colour, I'd have to do too layers - one of a medium grey tint, with the colour over top. Coloured tints just seem to "glow" too much.

Scott Buwalda has tint that changes with 12 volts applied to it in his demo car. One minute...perfectly clear...the next minute...tint! All with the turn of a key. Cool

Wonder if thats OLE tech?

I think with the advent of OLE becoming mainstream now, window tinting is going to be a natural.

OLE is a very thin panel that can even be rolled up (!) and used as a portable computer monitor for example. It is now being used in phones and portable reading devices.

Anyway, sorry for the Hijack, I was looking at tint the other day aslo, but only for the front doors since the car has "privacy" glass everywhere else.

I got overwhelmed quickly. The new lifetime ceramic stuf is very, very cool.

Good luck with it and if you find something neat, let us know!

John
