the tip you put on will have little to no effect on the volume or sound of the muffler. its the muffler and forward components of the exhaust that will do that. put on whatever tip makes you happy. [/QB][/QUOTE]
Sorry the tip can change the sound but yes it is secondary.

thats why I said little to no effect.
maybe if you welded a garbage can on as a tip it would make a substantial difference.

If its a newer truck just order a Cat-Back setup

they come from the cat back, usually are a nice quality and have a decent tip on them already

folgers coffee can welded on for a tip.

$5.99 + taxes.

C.Tire has a stainless steel 4" tip that bolts on with 3 hex headed screws pre-threaded into the tip. The three tips screw down onto the original pipe and are held statically in place. The cost is about $15 + taxes. Can't really go wrong with stainless steel. No audible increase though.

im likeing the coffee can idea and the garbage can one, but mostly the garbage can, dam that would be loud.dont want some one to come to my house again and just unscrew the screws and bingo they scored them selves a new tip. ya im think i need one that i could weld on. thats the only thing i know how to do, that i would actually be helping wit in the project.(the project consists of me and 3 other peeps and 1 truck and a muffler system to be installed, plus the tip if i ever find one). if i do the welding im set cause im pro at that ****. but ask me what a manifold is and i just say are you speaking english. theres a whole lot i still gotta learn about car audio, mechanics, and even welding. and im hopping to get some carpentry in to thier some time to, im pretty good at build stuff. im building a cabint right now and the measurments have to be exact or your messed, so im going to try sub box building for my next project.(holy crap this kid talks alot blah blah blah blah blah blah) i guees that got borring real fast.
