truck died

I was driving home from the grocery store, truck was running great. I drove down my street to park and got to the end to turn around to park on the other side of the road. While I was turning around my truck all of a sudden started to run really rough then died. I tried starting it a couple times and it wouldn't run. A couple times it would just sputter and shake then die again after a couple seconds. What do you guys think it may be? I'm thinking that hopefully it's just a plugged fuel filter, or worse, I have a dead fuel pump. It has a couple times died on me like this but it's started right back up. It hadn't done it for a few months. Now in the last week or so it has a couple times all of a sudden run wierd for a few seconds. Also, there is no check engine light comming on.

thanks all
