Screw the Toyota and get yourself a Nissan.

There not great on gas but there much better than a v-6 Ranger or 4.3 s/10 and the Nissan looks WAY better than the Toyota when it's dropped and modded and stuff.

Gotta watch out for bodies on any mini truck though...bodies are the reason why most people get rid of them....s/10's I find are the worst but they are also the cheapest to replace.

As with any import the Toyota's and Nissans and Mazda's are most expensive to fix especially if you get a Mazda with the rotary engine....I forget what years they had them but they sucked.

Anyway, just something to think about from somebody who's seen it first hand.

Given the chance and money,This is the truck I would buy.

I would even consider building something like it too..

(Still wondering why they are selling? )

I am a die-hard GM man.I have owned all types of cars..Ford,Chrysler,Hyundai,Toyota,etc etc...And I have always come back to GM..

There is some really awesome things you can do with a GM truck...

Would be my very first choice....

I am afraid you have been somewhat misinformed as to the reliability of Ford Rangers. When equipped with the 4.0L motor, a Ranger is one of the more long-lived vehicles on the road. The 3.0L is a nightmare from what I have heard from owners though. My 4.0L went 315,000 km's with nothing more than a rebuild on the tranny at 280,000 and new front end bushings at 250,000, obviously not motor related. The only weak spot on the 4.0 is the power steering, but it is a sporatic problem and doesn't affect all trucks. If you want to do easy modifications, then get a Nissan or an S10 but like it was said before, an older S10 will either have rust or has been re-done. Ranger's are very nice trucks but are expensive to modify, I can attest to that, I have roughly $32,000 in mods already and I am not finished yet. It sounds as though you have already promised youself that a Ford is out of the question, but I though I would throw in my (4^2)/8 cents.

^^^ Thanks for the kind words Matt, those pics are old though. The truck has bags on it now and my 18's are in transit. I would say hit up some forums on specific trucks before you make any decisions. For Rangers, I would say www.rangerpowersports.com/forum and for Chev's, I would say www.s10forum.com I am not sure about imports or Daks though.
