Some lights on remote roads actually just go by the optical sensor rather than pavement pressure to change.

Those of you who live in the boonies know what I am talking about, by the time you get to the light it turns green.

emergency vehicals use strobe lights to change them, why wouldn't flicking the high beams on not work?

oh and as far as things that look stupid, here are a few things that I don't like to see:

herez a question with the radar jammer when they can't radar ur car when they're tryin to do they not have a feeling u have something?? and still have reason to come after u? lol

I've never seen such a device on the emergency vehicles here. We just have to stop at red lights, check to make sure the way is clear and then procede through.
