Thanks Guys....
I dont know this person whatsoever, but it sickens me when stuff like this happens....
A few years ago,A buddy of mine in Winnipeg was beaten to a pulp and left to die.He was found on xmas day by a passerby...The people that did it got like 8 years at most...total injustice!!
I dont wanna see it happen again...
This is a copy of the email I got from the prosecuting judge in Gordie's case...
Subject: Sentences of those charged in death of Gordon Brown
Date: Thursday, January 31, 2002 9:05 AM
The accused entered guilty pleas with the following sentences.
1. Rob Kiziuk 11 years which was broken down by the judge to be 3 years
pretrial and a further 8 years in jail.
2. Melynsa Prince 9 years which was broken down into 3 years pretrial and a
further 6 years in jail.
3. Shane Watsko - 6 and 1/2 years with the break down of 3 years pre-trial
and 3 and 1/2 years in jail.
4. Glen Prawdzic - 8 year sentence with the break down of 4 years pre-trial
and a further 4 years in jail.
5. Lorraine Baxley is still pending
DNA orders were granted so their blood is taken for entry into the National
Data Base and lifetime prohibition orders were made restricting any access
to firearms.
The pre-trial custody is computed by doubling the time in jail before the
person is sentenced. That is done routinely as there is no parole and judges
are directed to consider it in the normal course at a 2 months for each
month served. In this case the judge allowed the 2 for 1 formula.
