k last night my friend sent me a zip file. of course i had to be an idiot and try and open it with word. now when ever i downlaod zip files it want's to open with word. how do i set it so that it does not have an opeing program?

 

? huh thier all 3 letter's and i don't understand any of them.

 

Click on zip file, right click, open with, choose program

choose WinRAR or WinZip, whichever you prefer

Then once the program is selected there is a box you can check to always use that program to open those files, check it, click ok.

 

where can i get winrar?
