I have an ATI all in wonder... It only like 640x480 for a TV... So the larger the TV the crappier it looks...

There are some nice stand alone TV out cards that will do 800x600 but are like $200 us funds...

You've never have the same quality -- period, the end. Unless your running a Plasma TV that has the Computer VGA Input onit.

Most the best setups that you can use is S-Video output on the Card if you have one. Text is always crappy to read, but if your playing a Movie, it looks fine. You have to always play with the Res. If your card has a TV Mode, it can set the output size to a proper format, but it will be too small / too large, depending on your TV Size.. EG: On a 24" TV it will look Normal, on 17" Too Small, on a 34" Too large and grainy.

TV Card with Coaxial out is probably your best bet, since it will use seperate software to generate the coxial output. I haven't seen any in local stores but I know they are around somewhere, I have one.. but it was given, no name brand.

Take your laptop down to your preferred av store and ask them to hook it up for you on a few different tv's. Only takes a few minutes and you can find out whats acceptable for you and buy it. If they won't(or can't!?)hook it up for you, don't buy from there.
