This is the 3rd card i've done that in and never had any heat problems, even in the summer heatwave. They do get nice and warm, but that's cause they're running bridged at 380 wrms for subs and 6x9's, the fronts are components, bi-amped at 125 wrms.
The only time i ever had a heat problem was an Alpine i fried under the drivers seat back about 1996.

would it be that big of a diffrence upside down or up right? they still have enough room for air to move inbetween them and wouldnt the subs push the air past them and cooling them off sort of? I dont know i think upside down looks better. I would do it that way if my car had a trunk :P, but i am stumped right now because i really dont know were i want my amp to be and since my car is a hatchback then i cant really mount them up there ..... i think im going to have to take a look at peoples hatchback setups so i can get a good idea :P lol

Many amps utilize convection lids and because heat goes up (duh! ) by inverting them you take this away and risk damage to the circuit board. If the amps were fan cooled this would minimize or remove this risk. Just my $.02

right now i drive a 97 Cavy coupe
Its a great car, I really like it. I paid a just under 23 with taxes etc. Seems a lot at first for a small car, but compared to the competition, you get a lot for your money. I was pretty happy being a VW driver before, so I wanted to get a VW as long as it pretty much made sense

OK, cool...no pun intended....

I think pretty much everyone cooks one under a seat at some point....my sacrificial lamb was a nice late 80's Kenwood 2 X 100 that didn't like it under the passenger seat in my '76 Buick Electra Ltd......

380w for 6X9's eh?......
