A friend of mine was in Reno a couple months ago. I never heard the details, but if you spend $1500 in 5 days and you didn't gamble I can only guess one "Nevada" thing you would be doing down there.

There's a small beautiful cliff side place in Negril I've been to twice that is really nice and I liked it very much.

Bryce, any one of those places will work for a week of fun in the sun. I like to go to Expedia and
Epinions to check out the specific resorts in each area.
The market might be different in Calgary, but around here both Cuba and DR are popular for the money.

a good way to save some $$ is to do last minute deals. We saved a few hundred that way by going on short notice..

how it works was that our travel agent called us when a really good deal popped up. It isn't for everyone because sometimes you have such short notice its hard to get it off work, etc, but it's an idea and maybe a way to save a few $$ [img]smile.gif[/img]

 

So if I plan on going the first week in march I shouldn't go book anything until a few weeks ahead to keep it cheap? Or book way ahead? Maybe I won't get the trip i want if it's last minute.

Last minute deals are great, but March is high season for just about everywhere because of school breaks. You may want to book a little early. Get to know a travel agent, and they should have the 411.

Also get a passport for sure!!! Very important in todays world.
