Using a wireless speaker? I would think if they are they would be using a frequency much much higher than radio broadcast but maybe somewhere it's getting picked up.

Are they Cambridge soundworks speakers?? I had the same problem with my old speakers.. I assume the shielding on the cables was not as good as it was supposed to be or for some reason it was sneaking in.. listen carefully.. if it's CBC international.. there might be a trend!

Maybe they're haunted lol that's kind of wierd how if u turn it up n down it doesn't follow... Maybe if u have a spare set of speakers or borrow a friends and plug them in and see if they do the same thing, if not maybe the speakers really are picking up the frequency somehow and you'll either have to turn 'em off, get new speakers or put up with it...

are you on cable or ADSL, because if you are on DSL, it could be your ISP. I know we had radio come in on our phone, loud and clear. I could talk to my girl and catch the hockey highlights, not a bad deal, I guess.

Try plugging them into a surge protector, or better yet another plug. Do you have any backup on your puter? Check out APC's battery backups... i'm running an APC 500ES. Use it to back up your most powerful stuff and leave the less powerful stuff on a decent surge. I use an APC Performance SurgeArrest. This will ensure cleaner power and give your equipment a chance to run properly.
