Winshield Washer fluid leak - how to find?
OK, so a while ago I fileld up my washer fluid, didn't really use it until a couple days later and itwas empty. So i've sorta been putting it off. Finally a couple days ago, Monday to be exact, things were getting sorta ugly so i filled it up like half way and sat there n watched it for about 2 minutes and poured the rest (now all) of a jug from petro canada in. No leaks, no dripping anywhere that I could spot. Tested them out and it worked like a charm.
Drove home (bout 10 min drive) used it once, still worked, got home, it was still full, no leaks I could find.
Tuesday, I don't think I used any, possibly on the way home.
Wednesday (Today), roads are kinda ugly, winshield gets to the point i can't see , and i go to clean it but no fluid. So now i'm try'n to grab snow from the roof of my vehicle and throw it on the winshield just so it'll create clean water and I can see.
What the hell, there's no way i used 2 or 4L of washer fluid as I'm pretty conservative with that stuff. The fluid didn't leak out all the way, in that there is some fluid left just below the nozzle intakes in the tank.
How the hell do you find such a leak? At no point did i ever start using the fluid and it looked like it was running out, it just was there one moment, gone the next.

So, hopped over to the mechanic, he replaced some gromets, then wanted to cut a bit off some hoses as he felt they weren't as tight as they could be.
So we tested it out, couldn't see a leak while using the front, both searching through for a leak in the engine bay while using the read washer fluid (which i never use anyways, cause it sprays other cars instead of my rear window).
Anyways, the rear washer fluid hose was leaking onto myd rivers side door mat. Apparenlty the break pedal was rubbing on it and yar. Unfotunately, we didn't notice this right away as we were lookin in the engine bay, meanwhile building a lake on my floor mat.
Needless to say it's soaked down there. Layed a buncha newspaper down last night, and that helped a lil. Tough to tell whats winshield washer fluid and whats just wet

my old bmw had 4 pumps 12 jets (all heated) two tanks that = 8+L of Winshield Washer fluid
when you used it ,it was like going into the car wash
and to fix a leak ,if you did not have 10hrs or more do not start it
