Wiring gauges.
#1
I was at the junk yard today and I got some Volksawgan VDO gauges out of an Audi 4000s so I'm happy.
im just curious how difficult it is to wire gauges like these into a car so they work? I've never done it before and probbaly won't until after X-mas, but I'm wondering the difficulty involved.

the volt gauge is pretty straight forward, the blue and brown wires on the top harness' are for illumination, and by the looks of it they are all electric gauges. do you know where your temp sending unit and oil pressure sending unit are on your car? do you have gauges already in your car, or "dummy" lites?

I have a general idea of where they are on the Audi. I've been told on the oil filter flange is where they should be. I do not have any gauges really besides spedometer and gas.
