Dancing gauges

Just installed a new cd player,works great,BUT
the dash gauges move with the music.Anyone have any ideas how to correct that.If it wasnt so anoying it would be kind of cool!!!

Check your ground, then double check all other connections making sure they are correct and tight.

Lol, my speedo sometimes dips up to 5k when a hard note hits. But of course I have it cranked at that point and it's rare to see that otherwise. And my volt meter drops about 1.5V too, so I figure it's just the temporary drain happening.

I would think as another has mentioned that it would be a grounding problem . . . Could also be you need to beef up your electrical system (wires from batt to gnd to alt etc.) depending on how much power your system has. What do you all have in your car? You must have more than just a CD player to cause that; if you only have a CD player - then I would say definite ground issue.

lol that reminds me of my old car in the winter when I'm going 50 km/h all of a sudden the speedo spikes up to 210 km/h

when I had my system in my 300zx the speedometer would jump about 20 km/h up on low bass notes when I was sitting at lights..

My tach drops 2-300 revs on idle when there is a bass note..prolly the alt puttin load on the engine..and pulls on the engine when im driving at low revs(which i do rarely heh), kinda like fiddling with the a/c switch.

my temp gauage flaps around like a humming bird on low bass hits, but it doesn't stop when the bass isn't hitting, just keeps flappin, lol.
