Wow...Identity theft may have just hit home

I got my VISA statement today...
I had a 170 US dollar charge on there from a ccbill.com company with a 1-800 number...
I only EVER use my VISA in emergencies, for parking meters when I am at school, and for my cellphone bill.
In fact, I have been busting my proverbial butt trying to pay down my VISA, so that I wouldnt have to worry about it, lately.
So....I am like WTF is this? I phone the 1-800 number...the dude in Nevada (where else?) takes my info and checks my 'account'....aside fromt he fact that I should have NO ACCOUNT...I had a US 170 dollar charge for a membership to www.4you.com.....
As my girlfriend laughs hysercially at me, the dude on the phone says that it seems the charge was a mistake and that I should be refunded within 7 days.
Phew.....I phone VISA and tell them that although I may dabble in the **** from time to time, I am not stupid enough to pay US 170 for it...
They say just wait, and CCBILL should refund it, as they are apparently a 'very reputable' internet billing agency (VISA said this is not uncommon for some reason). If they dont, VISA says we go from there...
WOW...I am in shock still, I have only EVER put my credit card info online to Fido (the cell phoen company), and my card never leaves my wallet, etc...I dont know HOW this could have happened...I only dabble in free **** when I dabble at all....
am I the target of Taliban ID theft or what...
jeez...what a strange circumstance this is...
Oh Well, maybe time to change the VISA number or something..

hez got a point [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img] lol Some dude stole my dadz CC # once and bought a bunch of stuff in BC maxed it out, little bit later MC calls dad up, hi sir did u buy this and this and this from Future shop in BC? Uhm no I've never been to BC lol Oh.. lol like wtf mate. [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]
Not quite as good as my sisters purse bein stollen way back when at a gym about a week later u see an article in the paper of a car that was bought on her CC and crashed and the suspects were arrested lol How do u steal someone's purse max out all their cards crash the merchandise and get caught?? [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img] lol

Be lucky it was only credit card theft. A house 3 miles down my side road was robbed last night at gun point. Whole road is up in arms now as a result.
