ok... im sorry if this has been ansered before, however...



when i turn on my deck, i automaticly get a "hummmmm" and if i push on my accelerator, it makes it worse(kinda like whistleing) i have gone throu all or my wiering and..

1) disconected all the wiers that arent being used,, ie, speaker wiers, as my speakers are all amped.

2) replaced and put new fittings on all of my power, ground, speaker and remote wiers.

3) checked for split wiers and evrything....


and still... NOTHING WILL FIX IT.

help?

 

Pioneer cd player? Only happens when the engine is running? Post all the info on the system and the vehicle.

 

no. kenwood dvd deck and yes, only while the car (06 kia rio) is on or on and running. but not in accesory....

alternator whine

 

I had the same problem with an old Kenwood KDC959 5 channel amp. The audio shop ended up soldering a jumper wire onto one of the RCA inputs, it alleviated the problem, but didn't fix it.

As soon as the amp was replaced by a Memphis Belle amp, the alternator whine was no longer present.

It was something internal in the Kenwood amp. Bad internal grounding??? What the hell am I talking about.

Maybe go to the shop you usually deal with and see if they'll hook up one of their display amps in your car to see if the problem lies with the amp or not. Just a suggestion.

 

i actualy thought that 2, because i had my smaller amp only hooked up and it did it... then went away???? but then came back so i got another amp.. my 4ch and it was still there.. i decided to hook them both up and guess wut...... still there.... so i dunno, i then went thru my wiering.. and still.. nothing...

It sounds like your RCA's are grounding out on something.
I had this problem once it turned out my RCA's were getting pinched behing the deck on a metal support bracket.

If that does not work, I know this sounds wierd but run the ground for your CD player to the back of the car and ground it to the same ground as the amp, but I would look at the RCA's first.

Did you have to use a little force to get the HU in, how much room is behind it and where did you run the power cable and the RCA cables

 

no, no force needed, but i think i may replace my rca's, i do have 3 so it is my next logical choice.... i did tuck them in some tight areas, and one of them is a used one froma previous install...

 

Get some different amps in there with real power supplies and see what happens. If you have a pinched rca cable this could also be an issue but my bet is that it is the amps.
