Building Slotted Box: Need best freq (Hz) for friend's music.
Hey all,
I'm building a slotted enclosure for a friend's Astro van. The subs are 2 Pioneer TS W1007D4 (10" Dual 4 ohm). The box will have separate chambers for each sub, calculated internal volume of 1.24 cu. ft. per sub. I have all other information available if it's needed.
I'm unsure of the frequency to tune these subs to. I went slotted as he has alot of van to fill. The dimensions of the slots (minus length) so far are 1.5Wx18H. He listens to alot of punk/ska and rock, so i need lots of kick drum. 40 Hz? 45? The blueprints and calculations are on paper as i'm better with a pencil and calculator than autoCAD.
