choosing proper battery setup for warhorse
Hey guys, just dove in and ordered up a kicker warhorse and two solo 18's, I already have a powermaster 300amp alt dedicated to amp duty but I'm stuck tring to figure out which batteries to use I was thinking of using 5 1000ca deep cycles but let me know if you can give some input. Thanks
i would run that amp at one ohm mono off of that alt. with 4 d3100 powermaster batteries... run 00 gauge wire and a 300 amp self reseting circuit breaker.. wire is avalible at princess auto its just welding cable.. that way you know you are not getting cca wire. and its about 4 bucks a foot.. once the amp is in go see shaun murley at visions in red deer and he can give you all the tech support you need...
Hey thanks guys for the input, haven't had any first hand experience with the powermaster batts but they sound like they might do the trick, I've never ran a 10,000 rms amp before so I really want to protect my investment.
the powermaster batts are top of the line , theyll give you the juice you need the 3100s are 5000 ccas each which is unreal for a single batt 4 of those bad boys would deffinitly power that amp give dale a call hes the powermaster dealer for canada just a great guy tons of experiance , he uses a pair of the d3100s in his st c crx , which has won numerous north american titles
