rear speaker setting in bi-amp set up

Please help

I have a 4 channel amplifier that connects both my front and rear speakers and a mono amp for my sub.

In my 4 channel amplifier with regard to the rear speaker
1) Do i need to switch it to HPF?
2) If yes, Will it be the same frequency as that of the front speakers?

My mono amp is set at LPF 80 Hz frequency

Thanks

Yes, you should turn on the high pass filter. You will get higher volumes out of your front and rear speakers because they don't have to hit the low frequencies that your sub is already playing. There is always a little variance between crossover points and slopes in different amps and speaker responses so you will have to fine tune the "hump" or "valley" to transition seamlessly. Try 80-90 Hz and work up from there. If you feel you need a little more bottom end punch in your front sound stage, move your crossover points down a bit.

If only one switch is present, then yes, it would apply to all four channels
