SMS compatible headunits

Seams a bit easy to do one of these: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=SMS+car+stereo
but what I am really looking for is a Head Unit that can read out my text's like the new ford standard systems do.

I'm wondering if the third party market has been able to catch up to this technology or not,or even if it is a dot on the radar of third party suppliers.

Thanks guys.

This is a feature I never want.
I don't need "lol" read out to me through my speakers. I especially don't need dirty messages read out to me either!

One option is the EGO Flash from funkwerk. Although obviously not a headunit.

But make sure your phone actually has the capability, it's not as common as you might think.

Yeah I'd say you think twice about that. I was in a car with some friends and one of their gf's, he had a similar program on his blackberry and she didn't know. Needless to say it was quite funny to hear how much she was "in the mood".
