when I use the fm on my blaupunkt chicago, the fm sounds like a "machine gun" for lack of better description. the audio comes in and goes out so quickly and repeatedly it sounds like a machine gun.

any ideas what could cause this?
made sure the connection is tight, and tried an antenna extension and did not improve. it is in all fequencies
it it a 96 toyota camry with a power antenna
