Jeep Liberty w/Factory Amp Wiring Issue

A little background on me, I have owned 6 Jeep Liberty’s now and changed the radio’s in the first 5 with zero issues. I pulled the factory radio out of my son’s 2007 Liberty Limited and it had an additional 10pin harness plugged in the back of the radio. I spliced his Kenwood KDC-BT378U harness to the Scoche CR02B harness and plugged it into the Jeep factory connector and the radio powered up with no speaker output. It appears this Jeep has the audio package that has an amp mounted to the speaker in each front door, and they also feed the rear door speaker behind them.

Crutchfields website said the radio was compatible with the 2007 Liberty but I didn’t see a callout option for the Infinity sound system. I called Metra to see if there was a harness I should add. He said there was no harness but that I should just add 12V+ to the blue and white wire on the Kenwood deck harness and that would power the factory amp and the speakers would work. That sounded wrong, and I haven’t tried that.

So then I called Kenwood’s tech line and I was told that I should hook the blue/white Kenwood harness wire to the blue/white CR02B harness wire and that should power the Jeep factory amp for the speakers. I told the tech that I had powered up the radio to check that, but that I didn’t have 12V+ coming out of the Kenwood radio harness on the blue/white wire. He said “Well, you should”.

I’ve noticed a couple guys on the internet that just ran new speaker wires to all the speakers and spliced them into the Chrysler adapter harness since they couldn’t find another fix.

Is there a clean plug and play solution to this? Is the Kenwood blue/white wire supposed to have a 12V+ output on it when the radio is powered up?
