Which Amp Should I Use?

Hey whats going on everybody

I was just wondering, I just recently got into sound systems for my ride, I just got a toyota avalon

I was thinking of starting out small, and sticking a single 12 inch, Pioneer sub in my truck but which amo should I buy

The 1000 watt amp or the 250 watt amp, I know this may sound like a dumb question but I really new to all this

Thanks

Well I was looking around and I can get the Pioneer 12 inch sub for around 50-60 bucks and the Sony 1000 watt amp I was looking at was about $150 and instead of buying the enclosures boxes I was think about getting those Scosche's Build sub boxes were you build them yourself and those are about $20 bucks plus installation

But I might have to start installing things one but one and might stick the amp in first then the sub in afterwards

which model sub is it? the sony might say 1000w but chances are it's half that.

if you are looking for good entry level stuff the sony amp will do just fine for you as an amp. it will drive the entry level pioneer subs just fine. i am sure most people on here with the exception of toddyboy will tell you sony is garbage. but in reality, for the price, it isnt that bad. especially if you are just starting out and have a limited budget. i say, if you like it, go with the sony amp. just be sure to invest in good wiring to go with it.

I also like Sony

And yes, hes right. I ran a Sony 740w summin or other 2 channel amp and it worked amazing for what I wanted it for. And after when I upgraded my subs and amp I kept the Sony to run my 6x9's as it was a 2 channel stereo amp.

Picked the amp up for $100 I believe, maybe 75? I cant remember. They can be had fairly cheap.

I am going to stick one 12 inch pioneer sub in the back and I want the amp to power the sub and the speakers

Do I need a 2 channel amp or a 4 channel amp?
