I really love fiberglassing my subs into the rear corners of the trunk and pointing toward the front. Why? This way they don't point at any panels and you don't get (much) rattles or flexing.

fiberglassing them into rear corners allow the sub to be aimed at listening position, while beign as close as possible to the extremity of the car (wich is mandatory to avoid cancellation)

puting your sub in a regular enclosure, you'll want them as close as possible to the rear, without choking the output. aming them up while fiberglassing the spare tire hole is also an interesting option, as far as your sub aren't protruding too much

I like the idea of fiberglassing the sparetire well. I have seen a few set ups where the sub is firing IN TO the enclosure, what benifits does this have if any , besides being able to see that pretty magnet structure

No benefit at all. In fact, if you open the trunk on one of those set-ups you hear mechanical noise from the voice coil, spider, etc. moving.
