I will be running a Concept CC-504 amp to my Focal 165V components.

now my question is should i bridge the front and back channel? its rated at 150x2rms which seems to me like overkill. and does this not raise the THD levels quite a bit?
i figure id be better off running my tweets from the rear channel and my mids from the front channels. what do u guys think i should do?

I would do it.
running too little power is worse than
your THD concerns.

I used the 504 on my first set on comps (JL vr 6.5 set), I rand the off the from channel (75x2), and the I ran my 4x6's off the rear channel (35x2). I would just suggest that you check the rms and max ratings, and make sure you are within those figures. Either way you should be ok.

ChevySQ, you sure you didn't use the older CC554? That one had the split power ratings, but the 504 is just straight 50x4.

ya 50x4 or 150x2. my components are rated to handle 75rms. 60 for mid and 15 for tweet. so i thought breaking that up and giving 50 to the mid and droping the gain and running it to the tweet would sound good.

I would bridge it. You will get improved low end response and less chance of clipping with more power this way.
The THD is not a concern. You won't hear a difference.
I have an Orion 8004 bridged on my front stage.
It does 400x2rms and it sounds phenomenal.

I also would run the amp in bridged mode, especially if you are not concerned about rear fill. Get your pictures done yet?

I don't think that is correct. Bridging the amp is similar to running at a lower impedance which drops the damping factor which doesn't usually help low-end performance. Maybe with the power gain you would get increased low-end but then the overall output of the speakers would be increased also. And, bridging an amp usually increases the amount of THD it produces, which gets it closer to clipping.

Bridge it, more power is better. You aren't running subs, so the negatives of bridging an amp aren't going to be any where near as present as they would on a amp that is driven much harder like a sub amp.

I am assuming you have a Focal passive XO between the mid and the tweet.
