Vibrational device for car?

Our Company is developing a line of car audio speakers and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with devices that are used in home theater to transmit vibrations into the chair. Seems that the opject of putting 4-10's in a car is over kill if you can create motion more directly.

Yes and those Auras can be now had for a little bucket of dirt (=real cheapo) price wise. I actually want to do this in the house for my home theatre but I'm scared the wife will never get off the couch...... EVER AGAIN. Fak, did I just say that out loud ?!?!??!? The reason I am interested in this is because I believe audio still has a ways to go. I remember sitting with 3d glasses on in a Las Vegas motion ride with my kids. That, my friends was totally involving. You should feel music as well as hear it but don't do damage to the bod in the process.
You guys got the right idea of working on ways to transmit vibration along with the music but I wonder if there is a more efficient way to do it. The other thing that bothers me about subs in a car (I have 2-10's in my Subaru) is that the bass is not located in front but rather from behind. Not natural. I am have a couple of ideas of how to solve it but they are just ideas and like most of my ideas, 10% actually work.

The bass shaker type devices were actually stolen from the amusement park industry. The reason why they are not popular is because they are a substitute, not the real thing. Sure they can shake whatever they are attached too. But they don't shake the whole car, and they don't produce any sound, bass can be heard well under 100 hz, not just felt. So to just have thoase would not be the same as having subs. People with them can tell me they do, but they are only fooling themselves. I also know from personal experience, I tried a pair about three or four years ago. It's kinda like bandpass boxes in the 80's, they had their place but with 8 inch subs fitting in small boxes and producing adequate levels of bass they are no longer a good alternative.

it simple, its just not the same, you cant replace acoustical output and air movement with a device that shakes your seat, i have used the alpine version in the past(i believe it was the aura device) and the idea of them was interesting as was the feeling, but its was different, artificial if you will, you can get 10" woofers these days that can give you great performance in boxes as little as .5 cubic feet, very little space, to me the decision is simple
