IVAD300 Stolen from Visions Prince George
*****, here is some *****. Caught my manager at unnamed big box store returning $5500.00 worth of gear for a customer. Now the customer wasn't there, nor the salesperson who sold the gear. Oh wait a minute, the gear wasn't there either. Smells like rotting salmon if you ask me. So I look much closer at this without raising the eye of the manager. Dig up the original invoice on the confuser. Talk to the cashier who took back the return, she did not see the product or the customer either. Matter of fact the manager handled the entire transaction and she did the visa return. Hmmm... time to go walkabout, where o where could the stereo bed, is it in here, nope, how about there, nope. Hmmm so stereo. Dig further and ask the cashier to find the original visa slip. Compare the original to the return, hmmmm.... different cards and no stereo. Report my findinge to the store manager. RCMP show up the next day and take him away during business hours. He was returning things onto his own card to help pay for his kids dentistry. That absolutely sucks but also shows you how clever a thief can really be. If I had not looked at the sales screen for the day and noticed that we were in the hole for sales, there would have been no way to track it.
Keep your eyes out for a Concept CA604, Eclipse AV3423, 22" wheels and tires, MB Quart PCE216 (x2), my customer had left his vehicle at a tranny shop in Hongcouver and they left in outside overnight. Come morning there was nothing left of his Expedition, totally stripped inside and out.

*******************UPDATE******************
We recovered the IVAD300 today when a customer came in to have it installed !!!!!!!!!

He bought it from "some guy" and knew the reputation of my installer and thus wanted him to install it. It piqued our interest when he called and told us it was just a IVAD300 HU with only a few wires. No processor. We told him to come by and we matched the serial #'s with our stolen unit.
He got pissed, swore a bunch when we confiscated it but left rather quickly when we told him the police were on the way and wanted to ask him some questions.
So no Mountain Crest 'till next time.

HAHAHAHAHA that's hilarious.
They guy brought in the unit stolen from your store to be installed? LMAO.
What a dumbass.
Anyhow, good on getting it back, and it was probably a great lesson so it won't happen again.

The guy that brought it in was not the same person who stole it. The thief was caucasian and the guy that brought it in was East Indian.
He bought it from "some guy" and wanted it installed professionally.
He should have known better or at least suspected that it was hot. Now it's up to him to track the "guy" down to recover his money. hahaha
