Sorry i know this is the wrong section, but i did post in feedback too, but being in alphabetical order it is not easy to get attention there.
Im sure some of you know the person, can get in contact with him somehow, or maybe even work with him.Im not talking trash on him here just for fun, i just want the TRACKING to check if the pallett had left or not, and where it is.If i just had the number, i wouldnt be calling for theft.
Sorry again...my previous post follows.

Im sorry to have to post this on a public board, but i have to, as it seems he's not being honest with me.

On the 30th of January, i made him a paypal for more than 2000 USD.
This was for some equipment (V4000XD amps, Kicker solo X sub, dd sub and some other things).

Me and my friends made a group buy as we needed this stuff.

Well, it is the 6th of may now, and not only I never received anything, but I can even get replies to my mails.Same happens to all of my mates that partecipated the group buy.I dont even get replies on MSN, i had canadian friends (A-Rok and Rip Rock) call him but no success.

I was told after 1 and half month that the stuff hadnt left for some problems. That was ok.Then he sent the stuff had left and he HAD a tracking.I asked the tracking...still never had it.

The pallet should have left in march after that first problem.Ok.A pallet shipped by dBDon with the same service took 5 days to arrive here and get through customs.

So without the tracking that he never gave him, i cannot even check if it is blocked by customs, ot if it EVER LEFT.And i dont think it did, not anymore.
I trusted him as he seemed a clear guy.Now i cant anymore...

I post here hoping there's some way to solve this situation and get the pallet here.somehow.

I see here he posts...he posted 2 days ago...so maybe he will read and maybe he will care since this is on here. And I cant get him to care in any other way.

Sorry for the long post, but being a strange situation i felt to explain it completely...

Thanks for your time reading
Ugo

Hey there,
Get a refund from Paypal... that would be the first step. Whats his name/address? Best thing will be to contact a police service near him.

thanks for the answer.
How can i get a refund from paypal?is it possible?
I have his name but no address, just paypal email address.I think it would not be hard to get his real address though as many people told me that he's around at events etc.I also sent him sms message this morning, im not english and im not able to have a good phone conversation in english.

of course no answer to the sms too.
You know it's hard to make things like contacting police when you live 5000miles away, also it is not easy to be taken seriously since i cant speak english very well and i doubt i can call police via email.

Here is the proof of my payment from paypal (cutpaste of course).as u can see, it is not some pennies..it is a big amount of money.

30 gen 2005 Pagamento A Curtis Simanavicius Completata Dettagli -$2.425,00 USD $0,00 USD -$2.425,00 USD

ps of course i will make my excuses to the guy for writing here in the public IF and WHEN stuff arrives.

You need to know where the individual lives. Then contact the local police detachment in his home city. It may be the RCMP or it may be a city or Provincial Police Service. A search of his city + polie will bring up the correct information. Then contact the police detachment on their non-emergency number. As you have not made direct contact with the seller since the transaction, it is still a police matter. The second that contact is made by you with him, before the police are involved, it becomes a civil matter and would then go through the courts.

Now this is a hard lesson to learn for both parties, you for not knowing about the seller, the seller for not looking after a customer. As it looks as of this post, a act of fraud may have been committed and is supported based on absolutely no information given to you as to the whereabouts of the product you paid for in good faith. This can result in criminal charges being laid under the Criminal Code of Canada and is not something that the seller wants to be involved with at all. This will leave him with a permanent criminal record if it goes to trial and he is found guilty. This will complicate any crossborder or international trips he may take for years to come, future employement, loans etc.

I encourage the seller in question to get this looked after with all proper documentation for the buyer and do it like yesterday. In the future, hopefully your business transactions will go much smoother for all parties involved.

The seller may have done everything right and by the book, the only thing he has done wrong as of now, is not keep you informed and you have brought your concerns to a forum for advice. There could be circumstances that we are not aware of at the same time, lots of possible scenarios. Maybe others will offer their .02 and have differing opionions, take all advice before you progress forwards.

Im sure of the same.I wouldnt have sent 2450usd to him if i wasnt sure of him being honest.I read throughout the forums anywhere before buying.

Im just asking for advice here,i WOULD NOT WANT to call police, i dont want him to have troubles to be hones, that would be my last chance, but i really dont want it, I talked a lot with him on MSN, and i would be EXTREMELY sorry to have to do something like that, i would solve it somehow else to be honest!!!

BTW, we was able to contact him by phone thanks to a friend that can speak english better than me, he left a message and curtis got back to me by email.

So maybe we're coming to a solution.
Whenever i receive the tracking and stuff, then i will ask for this post to be removed to the admins.
See im not talking trash here, i just want to receive my stuff then everything will be ok for me.

Ugo

Very true. In fact both of these guys are great. I'm sure it's just a miscommunication and it will all get worked out shortly.
