off the top of my head....not including equipment "up-grades"

$80 fuel per show "averaged"

$65 trailor rental per show

$20-$50 entry fee's

$5 generator fuel

$40 food and timys!

So $210 per show if entry is only $20 "Thanks Don!!!"

Been to 8 shows this season.....Im not including money for re-cones.
I love this sport and the money is worth the expense!

I am with Bart on this one. It does cost money to attend/hold events but we do it for the love of audio, friends and to challenge ourselves with besting our last score or a friends score.

I always loved the cash pay out with trophy shows and we will get there again.

yeah, I'm somewhere around $6000.00 myself, including the tranny we lost on the way home from the first show and with zero equipment failures. but this doesn't include the costs of events associated with having both cars there. all for the love of the game!!

Last full season I competed all out the whole season was 2007. Ive added up my spending below which is not including my front stage, front stage amps etc. And thats with no recones or blown amps all year. However I did switch amps halfway thru the year...and had 6 amps that I planned on using for a different set of woofers I also had but never switched due to having vehicle issues just before finals and not having time. That was for a street C build in an explorer that had a highest certified of 155.8

-vehicle, 1st set of subs, 2nd set of subs, 1st set of amps, 2nd set of amps, batts, charger, materials (wood, ports, glue, screws, resin), deadener (minimal deadener used), wire, aluminum and copper bussbars (all machining and labour done by myself so it was free), hotels, entry, gas, termlab, cheap laptop, and a maxxlink.

$33,900
