$$$$ going to shows

Last full season I competed all out the whole season was 2007. Ive added up my spending below which is not including my front stage, front stage amps etc. And thats with no recones or blown amps all year. However I did switch amps halfway thru the year...and had 6 amps that I planned on using for a different set of woofers I also had but never switched due to having vehicle issues just before finals and not having time. That was for a street C build in an explorer that had a highest certified of 155.8
-vehicle, 1st set of subs, 2nd set of subs, 1st set of amps, 2nd set of amps, batts, charger, materials (wood, ports, glue, screws, resin), deadener (minimal deadener used), wire, aluminum and copper bussbars (all machining and labour done by myself so it was free), hotels, entry, gas, termlab, cheap laptop, and a maxxlink.
$33,900

let's not get into it...Ithink the point was the cost of going to shows...ie: gas, regi., food, hotels, and vehicle maintenance, etc.
if you wanted to get technical, why not ask riprock how much they've got tied up into the trooper....I bet your $34 k would be miniscule....I know they paid like $10k for amps they didn't even endup using.....

All hobbies do. "Hobby" is synonymous with "waste of money for entertainment"
One nice thing about audio - once you have your system going, unless you blow something up or upgrade, it doesn't cost you a cent to listen to it every day.
