ummm i beg to differ with you paul.....lol..... as far as how much i spend on going to a show.. well gas @ $4.80 gallon.. i get 45 mpg.. so thats fuel. and shows cost 20-50 bucks.. i usually bring my own beer. grab a bite after each show with my wife.. 100 bucks.. so per show average drive time 6hrs.. plus running around say 50 bucks plus 100 food plus 30 show, average about 180. give or take and i try to hit at least 6 shows per yr.. best was 15-2004.

You are confusing the hobby of competing with the hobby of owning a car stereo. I commute 2.5-3hours a day listening to my system and it costs me nothing

As opposed to something like RC where any time I touch one of those things it sucks money out of my wallet somehow..

I have an RC heli that costs me dearly every time I crash it.... Carbon fiber parts aren't cheap. lol

a good example is when somone mods a car they spend thousands of dollors on body kits rims turbos interior suspension etc were as we spend thousands of dollors on subs boxes wire amps head units deadner and travel expenses
