59.9 Bassrace?
#13
this can be done for cheaper!!
I have heard of a civic in London area, 4 18" lvl 4xl's, 2 hifonics amps(unsure of which) a few batteries and he daily drives this thing, 55's on music! Has a beefed up alternator, and nothing special otherwise. if he can do 155's on music consitantly, im sure he can do bassrace(provided voltage can outlast). So what is to say he cannot build a 59.9 bassracer on a budget? Trial and error!! Granted it is a huge gap between 55' musically and 59.9 constantly, but with some work could it not be doable?(on a budget of 5~8g's?)

I burp 154.6 @ 45 hz and so far my best br run is a 151... It should go up a bit as that was a bit of a slow start. I only tried it once.... after all the 49.9 is where its at.
one of the most important things to bass race the 59.9 is gonna be efficiancy.... it takes a lot of power to get there.... thats means a lot of potential cooked coils... thats why most 59.9 guys run bandpass, and a lot of subs to the power to more coils.
it also will take a crap load of batteries and alt. to maintain the needed power levels. especially if you end up in a tie and have to do a key off run. ( not that that would happen around here)
I thought about building a 159.9 car for next year as well.... but I dont have any where enough room in my t-bird to do it with and the cost to do it was not worth it to me. 49.9 hurts enough as it is, lol

dont mean any hard feelings but for one Jalat you shouldnt tell someone what they can afford when you dont know their financial situation... and second Im not going to tell you that you can or cant do it... but finishing your first project first would be a good idea
good luck
ps still waiting on pics from the cut through project
