i am willing to bet that the first 159.9 bass race car out of ontario will be a Street class based vehicle done by someone who knows wtf they are doing
it's funny and sad at the same time that our Street cars are upwards of 157 db's while cars with walls and tons of cone and power are only slightly louder.
first 159.9 bass racer out of ontario will probalby be a crx with 6 10's and no wall, and it will embarasse everyone else. my money on that!

Yuli I would love to see that attempted in a rex but I just dont think its possible... not enough room for batteries! I think you can get 10-15 sec of 160+db music but then the few batts you can fit would be drained and amps would begin to put out alot less power! I would love to see a walled rex tho

This was stricktly an informative thread to see if it's actually attainable on a reasonabr budget. To jalat this IS what I do for a living only the electrical side of things apposed to audio. Mta, build on the cut through starts this week and I'll take pics. I hope your not offended but i went another direction box wise.
159.9 will not be easy but it can be done, our Expedition does 149.7 bass race with 2300watts clamped with (12) 10" JBL GTO subs, and 3 batts. And it will burp 151 so you dont need to be burping mid 160,s to bassrace 159.9 you just need the right design and the right song.! With that being said good luck with your build, and where are the pics.

I'll be done by Sunday. All 6 subs are drying, box is complete. Resining will be done tomorrow morning, ports and subs wired and installed in the box in the car on Saturday and I'll be bringing da noise on thanksgiving day.
