Hey guys I need a little advice. Fo rthe first time ever I drove from Kelowna to Calgary nice and easy, 110-120 the whole way. Not the usual 150kmh I usually do. And of course I get nailed outside of Golden for doing 120 in a 90. Dammit. I should've done 150 and made it worth it.

My question is this. The officer wrote down two bits of info on the ticket wrong. The licence plate is bairly legible. And I drive an '04 Mazda6, he wrote down that I drove an '04 Mazda 626? They stopped making the 626 in 2000 I think??
What do you guys think??

Dont' bother dude, you will lose, on your copy the plate may be barely legible but make no doubt about it, on the other copies it will be totally legible. Other parts of the ticket will say on or about or at or near, thus it really doesn't matter when or where you were pulled over as well. Pay the fine and go on, not worth spending the time on it (PS The RCMP officers love to go to court because 90% of the time it is their day off or time off - meaning overtime baby - good bucks for them - even then, chances are stacked in their favour). They had cause to pull you over, they can verify that it was you that the ticket was issued to, this means that you were present. No offence either dude, I used to drive like a crazy idiot when I was younger and lost all but 2 cases, and neither was for speeding. Take Dave up on his offer, I can just see him showing up with a good Rye up underway.

Yeah, but I cannot afford the 3 points for the ticket, I don't care to pay it. I have to fight it. I think if I get another point I get suspended for 6 months or a year or something. I will have to phone ICky-BCky when I get back. Damn, and to think that some of those points finnally drop off my record this summer. Damn. I'm screwed.

Cute.

I wonder if I can contest that the 19's on my car threw my speedo out?

"I thought I was doing 90 sir? Must be these big wheels!"

in kamloops its easy, what i do is fight the ticket, and on the court-date, if the cop is standing around outside to take account of everyone whos there, you go straight into court registry(across the hall) and pay it, plead guilty, and bite it(but at least its paid so they wont up the fine.)

if the cop is not present, then you're in the goods

oh, and the po-lice are allowed 1 full year to make an any adjustment to tickets, if so brought to attention at the beginning of your hearing....whether you damn well like it or not.

Don't ask how many tickets i've had, from the same cop. Next one from the same cop chalks some harrassment. I despise the police. Especially when he knows where I work, and meets me pulling into work. He clocked me 8kms away before a highway exit, onto another highway entry, an exit to a commercial area, and into a call center parking lot.Can anyone else explain retarded?

im done going off now. sorry
