I dont wanna bring my tuning down, as I want better spl, I have a box I built that peaks at 40 hz, but Ijust prefer higher tuning. I agree sealing my trunk off would see better results, but I just dont have the time or drive at this second to do so. I am also doing rep work for dose audio, selling DD I dunno if u store interested in selling?

 

don would this be a one time event winner takes all or would it be something you runt at say 3 different shows and combined score from the shows wins? something like a mini series

 

No it will be a once a year thing unless I can get massive sponsorship for more shows. dB Drags are expensive and this side show is expensive for sponsors because I want them to foot the bill. We have to prove as competitors that sponsoring dB Drags or any spl show for advertising will get brand/store recognition as well as increased sales and awarness of their product or service.

Sx4life a TL is a Transmission line ported enclosure, not the Termlab mic hehe sorry.

 

I would be interested in something like this , HAHA i would imagine the scores will be very close because of the frequence used vs the scores put out. So the meter will still be placed in the general area where the TL would be placed correct !!!

 

yes reglular Bass Race rules with the exception of the doors wide open and you have to be out of the vehicle. So you have to use a song your spl score is averaged etc......

what is the location? might be worth the drive for an even like this... make sure u have lots of ear plugs available

hehe how is 145.7db at 32hz sound? 3kw out of a trunk on a pair of 15's but that was peak not average with doors closed... when I have more time I will try with doors open... is this also 30 second average?

Sounds cool Don! Maybe you could make a bit of a series of it and have it at 1 of our shows and maybe a few other big shows with a grand prize at the end!

 

Ya if you guys wanna run this at shows during the year then I say go for it and then you know kinda what your hitting when you come to my show for the grand prize. I should be at most shows next year too with my blazer. haha with a broken windowshield last night I did a run with that lil john song "push that..."and did 151 with doors open at 42 hz and my peak with doors open is 32hz hehe. You guys are gonna love tuning for this its very interesting to say the least.
