that sounds like a lame excuse. I also don't understand the logic??

If "the industry" wants more recognition, small local shops should be trying to fill every friday night, saturday, AND sunday throughout the summer months with shows. the more shows, the more exposure. the more exposure, the more interest, the more interest, the more potential sales, etc.

I could see it if it was planned for the same date, but "because it's too close to soundsgoods show" is just a poor excuse not to hold a show.

you can still compete without your memberships. If you go to events before your membership comes, your name will be used as your membership # until you get a membership #. any prior points will be linked, you just have to make sure that your name is spelled correctly at shows, but even then, a quick email to wayne will set that straight too. Bassrace will be the same # as db drag, and the same "name" rule applies as well. I am unsure about Usaci.

the downfall is like me, I cannot access my calander, and I am going to miss out on the rsvp bonus points for the upcoming shows....apparantly my membership is still expired...
