Worldind has used them. Sundown does rated power, Jacob has offered a Sundown to anyone who is willing to do the actual testing on it.

RD 1750.1 is a very similar amp and is rated at 1750@ 1 ohm...You gonna put down their amp too?

BTW, the Z1 has been tested to put out almost 4k at 1 ohm. Great power, poor reliability.

the issue isnt that the sundown puts out rated power. the issue is that its claimed to put out much much more than rated power which it obviously does not.

If a z1 puts out 4k then theoretically to be even in score the sundown should have to put out 2k each to match the output strapped. But they're 2 db down.

It is claimed by people that use it. Both in-house and out of house testing showed it to be higher. I dont understand why there is so much disagreement with the people not in-house.

Would you like the vids of Jake doing his in house?

Using the same box, I did a 146.0 flat with a pair of sundowns running at 1 ohm a piece, and 147.7 with a Z1 at .5 ohm. It's not completely fair but is food for thought nonetheless.

It gives a little more fair look if you ask me, it is not unheard of that the Z1 do 4k at 1ohm, theoretically more at .5.

1.7 dB's on a straight swap is not as impressive as you make it seem.
