Just some things to look for as a customer.

-Ask for pictures of their work, is it clean? Do they solder instead of connectors(grounds and hoodpin excluded).

Is the installer certified?

-Drop in unexpected and have a look at the condition of the shop. Is it clean, is there tools laying everywhere from past jobs? Sometimes it will be crazy busy and there will be so many hands in the tool box its bound to get messy but keep that in mind.

-If they don't warranty their wiring for life of the company then I would not go there no matter the price.

So Hey everyone,
I just needed some help on finding out whether or not the quote im getting on installation from 3D sound and security (burnaby) is a good deal. (I am a noob so need some help to save money)
They are quoting me for $790 for the just the installation on the following for my 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac:
-A custom box (in that tight space behind the seats)
-2 12" sony xplod subs
-Sony xplod Mono amp
-Sony xplod4 speakers in each door
-sony xplod simple deck
-An Nustart alarm system (starter and security 1-way)(so bypass required)
-2 Audiovox Dvd Screens(w/ built in Dvd player) that already in a separate heard rests with wiring (just need to connect)
-(all wiring included even amp kit)
(Don't diss on the system lol, i know a lot of pplz hate on Sony but i think its good)
All this for $790, but i asked them I will pay $790 only if they throw in a capacitor w/ install and they said okay so all that plus a free capacitor w/ install for $790.
So I need a little feedback as soon as possible as i want this installed quickly b/c its been over a month since I've had this system sitting at home and its taunting me lol, and if this isnt a good deal which i dont think it is could you guys tell me some places that are good installers and inexpensive within Metro Vancouver.

Thanks In Advance

GO CANUCKS GO

Ross has been in the industry for a long time, newer to Vancouver but used to have a shop in the states (California I believe).

From all I hear and see he is fully capable and knowledegable.

I don't know about a better price.
I know that we had a Ford suv booked in for an alarm/starter and to do a stereo quote for this morning. I won't fight for a job on a forum. Our reputation speaks for itself. And besides, we're pretty booked already. Ross's guys can probably do the job for you. I haven't seen their work, but I know Ross. He's a nice guy.
