Prizes for Shows.....

Ray and I were discusing prizes for at shows.
We would like to get everyones input.
We would like to know what you like or dislike as prizes for the shows.
Here are some of the ideas we've thought of.
Trophies 1-8 place.
Trophies 1-3 place.
Certificates.
Framed Certificates.
Discounts at Host's Shop/store
No Prizes.
I know that there will be many opinions and if you any other suggestions let us know.
Remember that your decision will affect the cost and frequency of shows in Western Canada.

I'd prefer that the host buys us beer afterwards... at the strip club.
Unless Martin is the host, I know he likes those all male revues, so we'll skip the strip club part.

I would also like to mention that any combination of these suggestion could also work.
Please keep in mind that on the list that trophies are the most expensive followed by a framed certificates (around half the cost).
Obviously the cost of gift certificates would be based opon the owner's decision.
Having no prizes is obviously kinda Gay but would cost considerably less.

How about Trophies 1-3 place, then Certificates for 4-8.. Good ideas..got to get something for entering [img]smile.gif[/img]
I still look at the trophies and remember what happened at the show, brings back some good memories.

I remember driving to shows just cus we heard they were going to have huge trophies. I still have all my trophies and although a little beat up, they are still around.
In 1997ish Visions hosted a huge amount of IASCA shows and they decided to give plaques for the Novice class. I can't tell you how many times I cursed getting those things when all the other classes got big fancy hardware.
We went to the shows for points and not trophies, but it sure sucked when you drive all that way and you get a crappy license plate trim ring or somthing.

I would be willing to trade off the prizes and trophies for a simple certificate in trade for having more shows!!
Barring that idea, I'd likely go 1-4 trophies and 4-8 Certificates with a small gift(T-shirts,hats,etc)...Just a thought..

Trophies for 1st through 3rd. If everyone got a trophy it kinda takes away from it's prestige. Does that make sense?
I think a small decal from the show would be nice. Like a DBDrag/USACi/IASCA logo with the hosts name and date for every competitor.
I, being a man with the body of a god, (Buddha), am not a big fan of the T-Shirts as they never fit.
But by far the most important I think would be the competitors official score sheet.
Laminated, framed or including a picture in the lanes with the scoreboard in the background would be extra nice. Even if it was printed on standard paper off a basic printer. It would take a little time but would be easy to do.
Manufacturer shwaag is always nice as well.

i would agree with 1-3 trophies with name plates and for 4-6 certs , they dont have to be fancy but just something to show for with the score , name , vehical and host name
give aways are a big thing if u want them comming back stickers , t shirts , mags , electronics , just something for everyone thats around
most of all WET T-SHIRT contest haha
